BreadWinner Cycles brought home the bacon with the NAHBS Best City Bike award. The light pink mixte built from Columbus Zona steel featured 650B tires, full fenders, integrated rack, an XTR drivetrain and yet Di2 electronic shifting. It sported classic lines, integrated lights, and XT disc brakes.

Says builder Ira Ryan, partner with Tony Pereira in the Portland, Oregon, company, “The intention of this bike is to be ridden every single day.” A generator in the front hub makes sure it can be ridden at night, as well. The frame, fork, rack and stem are all custom on the bike, and cost $2700. The completed bike as spec’d for the show cost $7,400. The bike also can be built as a standard bike, presumably in colors other than pink. It takes BreadWinner 8-12 weeks to build this bike for customers.
