Made PDX 2024 Preview

The Made show returns to Portland for the second year, providing a geographic alternative to the Philly Bike Expo and Master Bike Builders shows on the eastern side of the USA.

Four custom-geometry bike shows in three countries, in the space of just 10 weeks! That's what this end of the 2024 calendar holds, and next up is the Made show in Portland, Oregon, August 23-25, as the world's finest bikes continue to go on display at venues around the world.

Despite rough'n'ready conditions last year, and more than a few grumbles from frame builders about the venue, exhibitors for the '24 Made show are up by some estimates as much as 30 percent, and this year Made is the largest gathering of actual frame builders in the USA.

HBG will have reports onsite to cover the show and will be posting daily on Instagram, Facebook, and of course here at HBG News.

Reportedly there is a bike valet for those riding to the show, and for visitors to Portland, as far as we can make out the Zidell Yards venue is on the Green NS light rail line, closest stop looks like S. Moody and Gibbs. Word is to head towards a table in the cavernous entrance of this vast shed that was originally built for disassembling ships, and with pigeons in the rafters wearing a hat could be a good move.
